BARBARA BUXTON

Barbara joined the Seaxe Committee at the AGM in April 2006 having helped with stewarding at the Out grounds in the preceding couple of years.  She subsequently became joint membership secretary in 2011 and remains in that role today dealing with the banking of cheques and sending out paperwork. Barbara was involved with the 40th birthday celebrations of Seaxe and in maintaining the website (now undergoing a revamp). Outside of Seaxe, Barbara had an 18 year career in banking, and has just celebrated 20 years at a homeless charity in Essex currently undertaking dual roles of Business Support Manager and Night Support Worker.  She met her partner Colin on the England cricket tour to Barbados and Antigua in 2004 witnessing Brian Lara’s 400 not out innings. Her main interests other than cricket are supporting Saracens men’s / women’s teams both home and away, England rugby men’s / women’s teams, baking and hedgehogs.
